Synopsis

Far below the crashing waves of the ocean's surface, and into its deepest depths is where our story begins. Our tale follows a young mermaid through her quest to find love while unconsciously developing a better understanding of herself, the unknown world she longs to be apart of and the true significance of what it means to love and be loved in return.

The ever-curious Little Mermaid is enthralled with the unknown world above the sea's shell and the humans that inhabit it. On one of her many adventures to the ocean's edge, a mysterious human catches her eye. After a vicious storm causes the young man to be thrown from his ship, the Little Mermaid swims to his rescue. After their chance encounter the Little Mermaid realizes that she cannot live without the young sailor. She takes matters into her own hands and visits the evil sea witch where she gives up her voice in return for the chance to turn her mermaid fins in for human legs.

The tale concludes with a vast array of thrilling episodes that the Little Mermaid must encounter in order to fulfill her quest for true love. There is a deep and difficult message that is shared in this story. This fairy-tale exemplifies the value of love being more than skin-deep, and shows just how far one will go for the happiness of the ones they truly care for.
